The film explores the relationship between siblings Sergio and Maria, from their troubled childhood to the hardships of adult life. Throughout the years, their invented game called 'Mikles' provides their very own survival technique. The film was awarded Italy’s Globo d’Oro by the Foreign Critics.

Christian Angeli was born in London in 1966. His short film Fare Bene Mikles won 14 awards including the 2005 Globo D’Oro, awarded by the Foreign Press in Italy, the Best Short Film Award at the Leeds International Film Festival, and participated at many international film festivals, including Clermont Ferrand, Aspen, Denver, Bilbao, Rotterdam (Special Mention) and Brest (Special Mention). He is about to start filming his first feature film Il Tuo Disprezzo, produced by Luna Film (Italy), a project that was selected in 2005 by Emergence, the French organisation set up by Elizabeth Depardieu. Christian also directs documentaries for Italian broadcaster RAI.
